Our mission is to help individuals of all ages and abilities achieve optimal fitness and well-being in a fun, creative, and grounded, semi or fully airborne environment.
At Rig Pilates we use a holistic approach to teaching that takes into account the mental, emotional, and physical well being of our participants. We believe that through building a deeper connection and appreciation of our bodies, we can improve our mental outlook and elevate our emotional state.
In the studio, we promote positive body image and acceptance for participants of all shapes, sizes, ages, genders, lifestyles, and cultural backgrounds. We are dedicated to creating physical activity programs that are achievable and accessible for all unique individuals. No person is too big or too small, or too old or too young to participate!
At Rig Pilates we believe that all individuals have unique physical abilities and we celebrate those differences. Rather than categorizing certain participants as “disabled” or as a “special population” we see the capability that each person brings to our classes. We work with what a person is already able to do, and make it our goal to improve upon those abilities. Rather than seeing challenges and limitations, we see opportunities for growth and renewal.
The main philosophy behind Rig Pilates is to HAVE FUN! We keep the mood light hearted, positive, and playful. As Rig Pilates teachers we help to enhance the creativity and fun loving spirit of each of our class members (even those who think they don’t have one!). It’s about letting go of our inhibitions, facing the challenge to try something new and different, learning to laugh, and finding the essence of FUN within ourselves, our bodies, and in our connection to the others in class.
All our instructors are graduates of the BASI Pilates Academy and are highly experienced in working with the full spectrum of population groups, ages and physical needs.
