The BASI Community Cares – Hurricane Relief Project

September 19, 2017

We Keep On Caring!

When Hurricane Harvey hit, and Hurricane Irma shortly after, we were all shocked by the displacement and devastation suffered by the people of Texas, Florida and other places in and out of the US. At BASI HQ, we went into action.

Rael was teaching a ProBridge program and he generously opened one of the mat classes to the public as a fundraiser. We also partnered with International Relief Teams to create a BASI Community Cares Page where all of us (including you) in the bigger BASI Community could show the strength of our caring, and as a group make a real difference for people who are facing a long road of clean up and recovery.

Today, as you are reading this page, the immediacy of the hurricanes has past but the truth is, much of the long-term pain is only now being understood. We need to keep helping the people who are trying to recover their lives from disaster.

Please join BASI community in continuing to donate through the BASI Community Cares Page. All proceeds go to hurricane relief through International Relief Teams, a charity that receives 4 out of 4 stars from Charity Navigator, a respected independent charity review. Let’s show what real strength of community can do!

After news of Rael’s Mat Class Fundraiser idea spread, other BASI Studios started working on their own. This is a fundraising idea that is still very relevant. If you have a studio, have a fundraiser for hurricane victims. It’s a wonderful way to help others and reach out to your local community. You can donate the proceeds through the BASI Community Cares Page, or choose your own.

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far!
