The program structure is modular. A student can make up or repeat each of the six modules at any BASI Pilates Host location around the world. Find the Mat Program closest to you.
This program includes 24 hours of lecture divided into six study modules. Students who complete the Mat Program may test for a BASI Pilates teaching credential which will qualify them as a teacher of BASI Pilates Mat. Those attending this program will receive a Study Guide and a Mat Movement Analysis Workbook (MAWB).
The module portion of the program is generally held over a three-month period and requires approximately 100 hours of study, practice, observation and apprentice teaching.
The process of becoming a skilled teacher is highly individual and BASI encourages each individual to work at his or her own pace. The goal is to develop excellence in each and every person, no matter how long it takes. Students are allowed to repeat any element of the examination process to achieve the required BASI Pilates standard.
The Mat Program is taught by members of the BASI Pilates faculty in Host studios around the world. Programs are ongoing in multiple locations throughout the year. Find the Mat Program closest to you.
