The Art & Science of Teaching Pilates

 

For the first time, one of the world’s premier Pilates conferences, BASI Learn From The Leaders (LFTL) will be offered as a virtual event in April 2021.

BASI Pilates Australia in collaboration with BASI Pilates founder, Rael Isacowitz, and an impressive lineup of international BASI Pilates presenters will deliver two days of live virtual Pilates education and collaboration.

The two-day live event includes a total of 12 Advanced Education workshops (6 live and 7 pre-recorded) and 4 BASI faculty-led mat classes. Delegates will benefit from pre-recorded on-demand workshops, pre-recorded on-demand mat classes and the option of attending the conference at BASI Pilates host studio locations across Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

The Virtual Conference

The BASI LFTL AU LIVE two-day conference starts on Saturday, 17 April 2021 at 7.30am and runs through to 4.15pm on Sunday, 18 April 2021. The conference consists of workshops and classes with world-renowned international presenters. It is the chance to virtually connect and engage with like-minded Pilates lovers from all over the world. The conference welcomes Pilates professionals and enthusiasts with experience from all Pilates schools and traditions.

Rael Isacowitz heads up the featured presenters including BASI International Principal faculty, Theo Botha, and Meredith Rogers. Australian faculty, Ed Botha, Jordanna Smith, and Shayne Smith, along with New Zealand faculty, Simone Wagenaar who will also present an on-demand workshop for the conference.

There is an impressive line up of advanced education workshops provided including Rael Isacowitz’s, Powerhouse of the Upper Girdle and the Evolution of Pilates. Other workshops include: The Spine Corrector, Let’s Jump, Find and Fix Movement Faults, With a Twist, Enhancing Athletic Performance, Breaking down the BASI, The F2 System and Pilates for Golf. Each day will begin and conclude with a movement session and Rael will also teach his Hour of Power Mat class. The two-day conference has been approved for 13 PDPs from the Pilates Alliance Australasia (PAA).

 

Pre Conference

The Pre-Conference program will be provided free of charge to all two-day ticket holders. This consists of three pre-recorded workshops with international faculty Theo Botha, Meredith Rogers and Simone Wagenaar plus a mat class. This program has been awarded 4.5 PDPs from the PAA.
