BASI Pilates teacher training programs are exciting and challenging immersions into the art and science of Pilates.
These college-level teacher training programs give students knowledge of Pilates theory, exercises, and teaching skills on all Pilates equipment, including BASI’s F2® System.
When you complete BASI’s Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training, you will have graduated from the most rigorous, exciting, and positively life-changing Pilates teacher training in the business. You will be qualified to teach Pilates at all levels on all equipment, including the F2® System. You may test for a BASI Pilates teaching certification and you will be eligible to take the PMA Pilates Certification exam*.
The U.S. Comprehensive Teacher Training is made up of two programs, the Foundation Program and the Graduate Program. They are sequential, integrated experiences. Presenting them separately allows us to be part of the California vocational school system*.
The Foundation Program provides a solid foundation for teaching Mat Pilates, and it prepares students to be successful in the Graduate Program by introducing them to exercises on the Reformer, Ped-a-pul, Cadillac, and Wunda Chair.
Once the Foundation Program completed, the Graduate Program provides a thorough and complete education in Pilates covering the full range of Pilates equipment -- Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Ped-a-pul, Ladder Barrel, Step Barrel and various other apparatus. The Graduate program is an enduring foundation for a career in Pilates, with graduates qualified to teach up to advanced level students on the full complement of standard equipment, and BASI’s proprietary F2®System.
Students completing the Graduate Program and all program requirements may test for a BASI Pilates teaching certification.
