Interview with Veronika Reinert from BASI HQ about her recent ProBridge Program experience

January 2, 2019

How long have you been a Pilates instructor?

I completed my first Pilates certification in 2007, so I’m at 12 years.

What made you enroll in the ProBridge Program?

When I was researching different comprehensive teacher training programs many years ago, BASI was on my radar as a program I would be interested in going through. At the time, however, circumstances and timing steered me towards a different teacher training program. Since I’ve moved to Southern California and now work at BASI HQ, it made perfect sense to pursue the ProBridge program, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to go through this program while being completely immersed in the BASI culture every day.

How did the ProBridge Program contribute to your growth as a Pilates instructor?

Every Pilates school, teacher training program, workshop, etc. brings something different to the table. Each time I take a course, I’m only adding to my knowledge base and arsenal of cues and exercise variations. I get to experience new ways of approaching the work. For the BASI ProBridge Program specifically, I was very excited to finally learn the BASI Block System, and of course to learn the work from BASI founder, Rael Isacowitz, himself.

Are you planning on attending other BASI trainings and workshops in the future?

BASI has such a great variety of advanced education courses. I’m particularly interested in attending Samantha Wood’s “Pilates for Injuries and Pathologies” certificate course, along with courses in The Legacy Program with Rael. I’m also interested in some fantastic workshops coming up aimed at identifying imbalances and movement deficiencies, and how to address those issues with corrective training.
