Powerhouse of the Shoulder

Shoulder related cues are the most prevalent in every Pilates studio. To understand the shoulder is to acknowledge that it is a powerful mover and stabilizer. The Pilates repertoire is shoulder dominant, becoming more so as the client advances. We must prepare our clients with proper information of the movement of the shoulder, as well as effective and efficient cues. In this course, exercises will be presented to address the need for stability in conjunction with concentric and eccentric movement patterning to attain the “Powerhouse of the Shoulder”.
