Fascia and Movement - Where do you start? MAP Movement Workshop

Practice makes...Permanent! What we do we become! This statement rings especially true in the world of fascia. Fascia is everywhere and connects everything to everything else. In this “everywhereness” of fascia, as described by Dr Robert Schleipp, where do we start to make sense of it all? Join us in this workshop as we take a closer look at the character of fascia as described in recent research. What is the importance of the preparation of movement: creating space so that we can move into that space. This workshop will include both theoretical research and practical application. “Christien Mann is a qualified physiotherapist, BASI mat work Instructor, co-founder and trainer of MAP Movement. She has been involved in group training since 1998 and was introduced to Pilates in 2000. She has combined her physiotherapy knowledge and group training experience with recent research on the importance of fascia to develop MAP movement. Her main focus is to motivate people to move from fear of movement to freedom of movement, using Breath as the guide. The aim of MAP Movement is to change chronic pain patterns, such as lower back and neck pain, through movement, thus creating space so that we can move into that space. In such we can live and move and have our being. Together with Lené van Heerden she presents MAP movement Trainer courses and runs her own full-time MAP movement studio in Pretoria, South Africa. THIS IS AN ONLINE WORKSHOP. Christien Mann from South Africa and her partner Lené van Heerden will be our guest instructors for this workshop.
