Teacher Training
BASI Pilates teacher training is an intensive academic program for anyone who is serious about making a profession of Pilates.
It is a rigorous and demanding program of study, practice, apprenticeship and observation, which will qualify you for a career at the highest levels of the Method.
The curriculum covers physiology, applied anatomy, the theory of movement, the principles of alignment and posture, exercise assessment and teaching methodologies, as well as an in-depth introduction to the classical Pilates repertoire and its appropriate application.
The program includes several unique methodologies that have made BASI teacher training the most contemporary and exciting of its kind.

Comprehensive Teacher Training Course (CTTC)
In-depth studies, both academic and practical, on the full range of Pilates apparatus. Graduates are qualified to teach students from beginner to advanced level on all standard pieces of Pilates equipment. Courses are held around the world at BASI host studios and taught by highly skilled members of the BASI educational faculty.

Mat Work Teacher Training Course (MTTC)
BASI’s unique approach to Mat Work as the foundation of the Pilates method permeates this exciting course. Taught to be applicable in many different settings and environments, it covers a very wide repertoire of Mat Work exercises and the integration of small apparatus. BASI encourages students to regard the Mat Work course as a springboard to the Comprehensive course.

CTTC with Specialization
The CTTC with Dance Specialization is a unique, collaborative program between BASI and Karen Clippinger, Associate Professor at the California State University, Long Beach. The course comprises the entire CTTC, plus six additional dance-specific modules.

Professional Bridging Course (ProBridge)
Taught by BASI Pilates® founder and director Rael Isacowitz, the inaugural ProBridge course is an opportunity to learn the secrets of the world's most admired Pilates program from the source.
Now at an introductory price of only $2,595, including all the BASI workbooks!
ProBridge is a bridging program for Pilates professionals interested in studying the principles and methodologies of BASI. The program excludes subjects, such as basic anatomy, with which the students are assumed to be familiar, focusing instead on the proprietary components of a BASI education. Students wishing to receive a certificate must participate in centralized testing with comprehensive course graduates.
