“Innovations in Pilates” is based on the popular book of the same title and details the integration of Therapeutic Muscle Stretching into the Pilates method. It has been described as the ‘missing element” in Pilates repertoire and teacher education. Anthony’s reformer course will introduce you to the latest research in stretching biomechanics and neurophysiology in practical ways that will give you new insights and ways of practicing Pilates exercises, new and effective ways of analyzing movement and alternative ways of working with clients, especially stiff ones, who have difficulty with traditional repertoire. Whether you teach in a clinical or well-being based Pilates model, the work will enable you to teach stretches for the entire body, integrate the work into your studio programs, and offer new and exciting class formats. With the latest 3D analysis of movement, the course will also clarify and develop your anatomical knowledge in theoretical and experiential ways. Innovations in Pilates has been taught and is now practiced in over 25 countries.
