What exams are required to complete the program?

In general, there are 3 types of exams given during any of our teacher training programs:

• Written Exam
• Practical Exam
• Teaching Evaluation

 

Mat Program:

Students receive a multiple-choice written exam after completion of Module 6. This exam may be taken online through the BASI Student Dashboard, or with pen and paper depending on the location. Once all modules have been taken and the student has completed their student hour requirements, they are eligible to take their final practical exam and teaching evaluation. In the U.S., these final two exams are given during Centralized Testing. Outside of the U.S., these exams are scheduled with BASI Headquarters to be taken at the student’s Host Studio (or any other Host Studio the student chooses). License territory locations may have varying procedures for scheduling testing. Additional testing fees apply.

Comprehensive Program USA:

Students receive a multiple-choice written exam after completion of Module 6 of the Foundation Program and after Module 6 of the Graduate Program. This exam may be taken online through the BASI Student Dashboard. Once all modules have been taken and the student has completed their student hour requirements, they are eligible to take their final practical exam and teaching evaluation. In the U.S., these final two exams are given during Centralized Testing. Additional testing fees apply.

Comprehensive Program Global:

Students receive a multiple-choice written exam after completion of Module 6 and again after Module 12 of the Comprehensive Program Global. This exam may be taken online through the BASI Student Dashboard, or with pen and paper depending on the location. Once all modules have been taken and the student has completed their student hour requirements, they are eligible to take their final practical exam and teaching evaluation. These exams are scheduled with BASI Headquarters to be taken at the student’s Host Studio (or any other Host Studio the student chooses).
