2018, An Exciting Year for BASI Pilates By Rael Isacowitz

My Dear Friends,

It is hard to believe that a new year is upon us, and we are already through January. I would like to start by wishing everyone the very best for the new year. It is with humility and gratitude that I thank the entire BASI Family, and Pilates Community at large, for your ongoing support. I have no doubt that 2018 is going to be an amazing and VERY eventful year for BASI.

Allow me to share some of our exciting announcements and plans for this year:

We will be working with ReCode for all our marketing, advertising and outreach efforts. You may be familiar with their work as they have been the lead marketing team for our sister company, BASI Systems. They will be unveiling a fresh new look and feel for our entire brand. Keep following us on all our channels for the exciting changes. They are amazing!

After many grueling hours of photo shoots over multiple days, I am happy to say we are in the photo selection phase for our Comprehensive Movement Analysis Workbooks and Legacy Manuals. They will have a revitalized look and all the exercises are, of course, performed on our finely crafted BASI Systems Pilates Equipment. I’m sure our students and graduates alike around the world will appreciate all the hard work and time that goes into making our learning materials the very best available.

It is with great pride that I announce that the 2nd edition of Pilates Anatomy will be released next year. My friend, colleague, BASI Faculty member and co-author, Karen Clippinger and I are already hard at work adding valuable material to this very popular book. It was #1 on Amazon last year in the Pilates section.

Our number one priority is, and has always been, providing the best Pilates education available. Our teacher training programs, certificate courses, Legacy program and all our workshops will continue as usual. Besides our regular ongoing activities, we will host our first BASI Retreat, The Art of Life and Movement, in Newport Beach, June 208. I am very excited to partner with Pilates Retreats Asia in hosting this event in my own backyard. It will follow immediately after the Mentor Program with the intention of prolonging the depth and profundity of this educational experience.

BASI’s Learn from the Leaders Conferences (LFTL) since circa 1993 have always been more than only education, they are a celebration of the BASI Community and its awesome spirit. ALL Pilates professionals and enthusiasts are most welcome to join in these events:

BASI South Africa will be hosting LFTL October 12-14, 2018. Do not miss out on an opportunity to visit beautiful South Africa and attend LFTL!

BASI Pilates will mark its 30th Anniversary next year and will be hosting LFTL in Newport Beach, California May 18-19, 2019. Come and celebrate with us!
