*Hours can be submitted via fax, email or regular post prior to the testing, or hand-delivered on the day of the exam.
Centralized Testing consists of a Teaching and Practical Evaluation. These components offers an inside look into the student's practical and teaching skills.
The Teaching Evaluation consists of a one-hour session for the student to structure an appropriate session for an assigned client (clients will be of an intermediate level with minimum to no physical restrictions and provided by the studio hosting Centralized Testing). Structure of the session is at the discretion of the student, but must be limited to the repertoire taught within the modules of the course.
The Practical Evaluation consists of a demonstration of four separate Pilates movements. One of the movements will be from the Mat repertoire while the other three movements will utilize various Pilates apparatus’. All movements are arbitrarily chosen and assigned from modules 1 through 10.
Both exams are graded according to criteria as outlined in the student download section and based on a pass or non-pass basis. Additional time is provided following the exam to obtain feedback which can be done either privately or within the group. Final grades are posted in the individual student’s account no later than thirty days following the exam date.
If it is necessary for a student (of either the CTTC or the MTTC) to retake either the Teaching or Practical Evaluation (or both), the following fees will apply:
There will be no additional charge to retake the Final Written exam of either the CTTC or the MTTC.
We encourage all students to be prepared for the examination process and utilize the online registration available. After selecting a location, date and specific time, payment will be required to reserve a spot. These reservations are non-refundable. If a student is unable to attend, for any reason, they will need to re-register and re-submit payment.
