Running, like Pilates is a wholistic practice and the focus and awareness that it offers can allow us to explore what the body is telling us—and usually it goes deeper than just the physical because the body keeps score. Both wholistic practices engage the body, mind & spirit--a moving meditation, so to speak. However, many individuals shirk away from running due to injuries or fear of injuries…or even unnecessary discomfort. But, running should not be painful…we were born to run!
This workshop will give participants the tools to explore the possibilities of injury free running thru pilates, gait analysis, fascia release and drills to remind us of what we once knew. Video gait analysis will also be offered. At one time we ran effortlessly (even if it was long ago), why not learn how to reclaim that joy.
