BASI is a phenomenal program. I especially appreciate the high standard that is demanded of students. Thank you. Thank you!
Looking forward to continuing this journey...
Great staff and they were always available, knowledgeable, respectful.

I thought the course was wonderful. I enjoyed the commitment to classical origins and contemporary scientific interpretations. loved reading the workbook material with its understanding of sports science and integration of this into the Pilates system. Great staff and they were always available, knowledgeable, respectful. In terms of improvement, I felt there was an awful lot of repertoire to learn, especially for a beginner. more modules would be better, but I understand scheduling and cost considerations. It may also be easier to break modules into equipment eg. module 3-5, reformer, module 5-6, Cadillac, More anatomy would be useful. Finally , I did think that the muscle focus was the only thing that was inconsistent with the general "thinking" approach of the whole course. Particularly in exam questions (where I got a few incorrect!) I feel it is too simplistic to define a complex movement for example as "abdominals." I think 3 to 5 answers should be acceptable, and would recognise the complex nature of any movement. overall it was terrific. :)
The faculty were wonderful, energetic and inspiring to be with.

The course was great, however another few half days with Faculty to practice the material and gain information would have been an excellent help. Also the covers of the books rip off over time which is a shame,as we want to have these books for a long time.
The faculty were wonderful, energetic and inspiring to be with.I do hope that Basi can organise more workshops for us here in Australia in the future.
The course is well laid out and we were lucky to get the latest course materials

The course is well laid out and we were lucky to get the latest course materials (books). Working with the Avalon was interesting, but with only one machine and lots to learn on it, that was the only drawback (we didn't get as much time to practice the exercises, knowing that we could be tested on it the very next day!)
Absolutely fantastic and in depth course, I loved every minute of it!

Absolutely fantastic and in depth course, I loved every minute of it! It would have been really great to have a bit more time, given the amount of repertoire required, and some more contact with Basi faculty (Joleen and Jordanna were really great with emails but it would have been good to have some classes or practise sessions between the prac exams so we could get corrections with Basi staff on the exercises more regularly. But I understand that this is really difficult given the lack of Basi trained instructors in Melbourne!!)
It would have also been great to do a bit more on posture assessment, and maybe even have that as part of the exams, as it's such an important part of developing a comprehensive program for a client. I understand the theory of it but haven't had the opportunity to put it into practise much.

I really enjoyed the course and learned a lot. Thanks!
Materials are very helpful.

Materials are very helpful; some binders are a bit outdated and the exercises contradict each other from one manual to another. Amy did a great job explaining the differences though.
