Professional Bridging Course (ProBridge)
Taught by BASI Pilates® founder and director Rael Isacowitz, the inaugural ProBridge course is an opportunity to learn the secrets of the world's most admired Pilates program from the source.

ProBridge is a bridging program for Pilates professionals interested in studying the principles and methodologies of BASI. The program excludes subjects, such as basic anatomy, with which the students are assumed to be familiar, focusing instead on the proprietary components of a BASI education. Students wishing to receive a certificate must participate in centralized testing with comprehensive course graduates.

Module 1 ProBridge
Topics covered will include the Principals of the Pilates method and a brief overview of the importance of the pelvis, breathing, exercise description, analysis and teaching. In addition, review of anatomy, importance of appropriate cueing as well as basic safety topics will all be discussed. Repertoire includes Mat and Reformer. A one-hour mat class will be given. Total of 6 hours class time is provided. |

Topics covered will include anatomical movement analysis, introduction of the BASI Block System®, format and progressive layering as well as principles of alignment and complete postural assessment. Repertoire includes intermediate to advanced Mat, Reformer and Cadillac. A one-hour mat class will be given. Total of 6 hours class time is provided. |

Topics covered will include core strength of the back and abdominals including contraindications, effective exercises as well as the teacher’s role in creating “flow” in a session. Discussion on the correct use of modifications and assists and construction of complete and effective programs. Repertoire includes intermediate to advanced Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair and the Avalon® Chair. A one-hour mat class will be given. Total of 6 hours class time is provided. |

Topics covered will include imbalance in strength and flexibility, functional exercises and movement patterns. In addition, a look at the hip joint, knee joint and ankle complex as well as an examination of the gait cycle are included. Repertoire includes intermediate/advanced Mat, Reformer and Wunda Chair. A one-hour mat class will be given. Total of 6 hours class time is provided. |

Topics covered will include the shoulder complex, correct mechanics, dysfunction and injury. In addition, principles of training, appropriate level of repertoire and working with a broad range of clients will be offered and discussed. Repertoire includes intermediate to advanced Reformer, Wunda Chair and Cadillac, Avalon® Step Barrel and Ladder Barrel. A one-hour mat class will be given. Total of 6 hours class time is provided. |

Module 6 ProBridge
Topics covered will include a look into specific populations requiring specialized sessions. Various groups will be discussed with a special look at the athlete and populations with restrictions. Habitual movement patterns, imbalances, teaching methodology as well the differences of working with women versus men will all be reviewed. Repertoire includes intermediate/advanced Reformer, Wunda Chair, Avalon® Step and Ladder Barrel. A one-hour mat class will be given. Total of 6 hours class time is provided. |

Participants must attend and take part in each section of the six-day intensive. All assignments must be completed and submitted in a timely manner. (Assignments may include written exercises given by Rael as pertinent to each days discussion.)

The ProBridge Program is open to any Pilates professional whose qualifications are deemed sufficient by BASI Pilates, as well as all BASI graduates of the Comprehensive Teacher Training Course. In order to be considered for eligibility in the ProBridge Program an applicant must meet the following criteria: |

A $500 required registration fee is to be submitted with the completed application form. $450 of the registration fee will be credited toward course tuition, while $50 is a non-refundable administration fee. If for any reason an application is not accepted, a refund in the amount of $450 will be sent within thirty (30) days. The registration fee is non-refundable following approval of an application by BASI.

If remitting payment via bank transfer, all bank fees will be the sole responsibility of the enrolled student at time of payment. Participants completing the course will be entitled to take part in Centralized Testing by BASI founder Rael Isacowitz and/or Director of Education Constance Holder.
