BASI Pilates™ has been a pioneer in developing a Continuing Education Program because we believe that teachers never stop learning. Our Pilates Workshops, Seminars and Symposiums are designed to meet the needs of pilates professionals with experience and a certification who want to specialize in a particular area and field of practice. Past Workshops have focused on honoring the legacy of the Pilates Elders while incorporating scientific developments with in-depth work in areas such as: Function of the Shoulder Girdle; Focus on the Hip and Foot; and Working with Athletes. BASI Pilates™’s Continuing Education Workshops are recognized by the American Council on Exercise (ACE), the Aerobics Fitness Association of America (AFAA), and the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) as continuing education credits for fitness professionals.

In 2002, Rael created the "Learn From The Leaders International Symposium". Originated in California, this highly acclaimed series has expanded worldwide and has now been produced twice in Australia and in South Africa.Rael’s inspiration for this series was his desire to present a forum whereby leaders of the Pilates world could come together and further the philosophy of education in a collaborative manner. Guest teachers for this program have included original students of Joseph Pilates, known as Elders, like Lolita San Miguel from Puerto Rico and protégés of original students, such as Deborah Lessen (protégé of Carola Trier), Carol Appel (protégé of Romana Kryzanowska) and Michelle Larssen and Rael Isacowitz (protégés of Eve Gentry). Given the growing demand, strong success and wealth of knowledge that is shared at these "Learn From the Leaders International Symposiums", we will definitely be organizing many more in the future.
